There is a statewide problem, certainly, and you can help out just by doing a little check mark on your taxes. Your tax form contains a line that allows you to donate to all kinds of different charities, and the Idaho Food Bank is hoping you're going to feel a little generous towards them. The organization serves more than 30 local food banks around the state, and that money doesn't just buy food staples but also goes to capital expenditures like building repairs and transportation. By increasing the capacity of those local food partners, it raises all of us statewide to be able to better serve the needs of our citizens. The Idaho Food Bank says they've received another hundred thousand dollars because of the tax form money, but they say they would always welcome more.
