Hey, welcome to this session of free text tips. We've got it going for you. It's gonna be about how to file your income tax extension. Now, if you've been putting it off, you know that April 15th is here and you've got to file. So, what are you going to do? I recommend going ahead and getting that extension now. There are a couple of ways that you can do it. Number one, you can drop it in the mail, old school. Or, you can electronically file it, and usually, they send you an acknowledgement or confirmation that they received your tax extension. Now, what form are you looking for? You're ready for Form 4868. That's the extension form you're looking for. It needs to be mailed in for the personal tax return, and it needs to be mailed in by April 15th. It also needs to be electronically filed by April 15th. How long do you get? You get six months to get your act together and get that tax return done. You have until October 15th to file your tax return. So, that gives you a nice amount of time, half a year to get an extension. Most of the time, your state doesn't require you to do anything. It's automatic. Your state grants you an automatic six-month extension if you don't file your tax return on time. Typically, in California, they give us an automatic six-month extension. I'm not sure how it is in your state, but it could follow the same rule. Now, what else do you want to know about extensions? Oh, your corporate and business returns. Sometimes, you want to make sure you get those done by March 15th. You don't want to wait until April 15th for the corporate returns because the extension needs to end...
