So today, I'm introducing you to a fabulous program at the IRS hands. That's perfect for those of you who prefer to go the DIY route when filing your taxes. It's conveniently called free file. The free file program allows you to file your taxes using software sponsored by private companies. Free file is open to taxpayers whose adjusted gross income is less than sixty-six thousand dollars in 2018. Keep in mind that that's sixty-six thousand dollars per return, so married couples who are both working can easily surpass that AGI limit. So Akiba, what if I make over sixty-six thousand dollars? Can I still file my taxes for free? And the answer is yes, you can. We'll get there in a bit, but back to free file. You can use the IRS's free file software lookup tool, which I will link to in the description below, to determine which companies you're eligible to use to file your taxes for free. Some companies in the Free File Alliance also offer free state tax returns as well. These states include Arkansas, Arizona, the District of Columbia, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana,...
