Hi, I'm Amelia Alexander, a former admissions officer at Yale University. I had various responsibilities including interviewing candidates, reading and reviewing applications, and presenting them to the admissions committee. Moreover, I played a part in making the final decisions. I am a graduate of Yale University, where I studied both sociology and psycholinguistics. My expertise in psycholinguistics, the study of how people use language, allows me to assist you effectively. Joining College Coach was a natural choice for me because I genuinely enjoy helping students and families find the right fit for higher education. It is important to me to discover a place where you can grow and thrive in all aspects of your life. During my time at Yale, I served as the captain of the women's swimming team, sparking my particular interest and knowledge in college-level athletics. My experience extends to working with students interested in various fields such as engineering, business, nursing, musical theater, music, and the liberal arts in general. I eagerly anticipate working with students throughout their college admissions journey, guiding them towards adulthood and helping them find their independence.
